Hey guys - anyone replace their stock back bumper with some armor???

I had a gnarly weekend and messed up my back left end cap :( first time damaging the truck... So bummed

    It's this piece: https://www.oempartworld.com/oem-pa...kcmEmeT0yMDE2JnQ9dHJkLXBybyZlPTUtN2wtdjgtZ2Fz

Problem is that Toyota won't supply them painted so buying one of these and repainting is going to cost to much to justify.

    Here's the damage :(
    IMG_1400.jpg

Clips broke so it won't set right and you can't really attach it back on.

But on a positive note. Got some sick photos :)

Looks like a good time. Sorry about the trail damage. Someone will chime in I'm sure.

For close to what it will likely cost you to redo your stock bumper you could probably get a nice aftermarket bumper and get some more protection. Paint and installation won't be cheap on top of the part cost.

Lol I actually messaged him a few months ago about that exact piece of his bumper. Right around when he got his armor. He didn't really seem too interested in getting rid of it then, maybe that has changed....

If I am not mistaken there is only one aftermarket rear bumper available for use with the sensors.

Wait..you said they come "un painted" AKA Primered. Wouldn't that match?:p
If you can't find pre-painted, I'd suggest swapping them out with some SR5 all black ones. I think would look good on cement. ORRR new rear bumper

Sick pics was that a jump or a crawl? Bummer on your bumper, but either way the Pro fared well and now you have justification to modify. Prob not much help based on your post's title; but if it were me, given your color and tag... get whatever bumper you like; and have it painted to look like cement blocks, sidewalk or Ryno Guard spray it that color.

It was a crawl. Hard to tell but really steep downhill going into a tight turn. But not bad ideas...

Alright guys - found my solution. Called a few local shops and they all wanted a ridiculous amount of money for this... $400+

Searched through this forum and someone posted about a guy from a dealership in Texas that has helped them out.

Called and he's getting the part to me painted for $172.

If anyone runs into this problem - or any problem for that matter that involves parts - call Roman at Toyota of cool springs
