My center support bearing has lots of play in it. Rubber is no good. I also have been noticing a clunking noise while coming to a stop and rough accelerations, also feels like a very hard jerk when letting on and off the gas around 35-45. Just wondering if that is the cause of the noises and clunks.

You probably have a u-joint crapping out too. Check the joint closest to the tranny.

I checked for play and the entire driveshaft could move up and down. Is this the cause of all the noise?

It is suppose to have some amount of movement, mine is really move-able and my u joints are fine NOW. To be sure, park on level ground, put the truck in neutral and spin the driveshaft side to side for me. I had a similar feeling going on and it was the rear most u joint, i will be doing my center support carrier bearing soon just because I can but as of now i cannot feel any vibes or anything.
