It doesn't matter if it's by an inch or a mile, Paul Walker will always be a terrible actor...

    I honestly don't notice he's not a great actor.

At least he owns a tacoma.

He is kind of in his element in those movies. You don't need to be a great actor.

    They are entertaining, though.

I never advocated banning guns , I said it must suck to feel unsafe without being armed

I have to admit, I fee decidedly less free when I carry.

It limits the places I can go (legally) like bars, banks, etc. - so I have to plan my day around that. I have to always be mindful of where I am and whether I am printing or not.

I've started carrying again because I ride the bus almost everyday, and, in case you haven't noticed, Seattle doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to bus safety. That, and I work in probably the 2nd-worst part of town for violence. (non-Tacoma division)

But I made my choices, and so I won't apologize for them. It just sucks when I can't go out with people for happy hour or cash a check because it would be illegal for me to do so.

I don't go there, but if I did I couldn't care less what their stance is one way or the other. They have the right to make any policy they want for their business. You can find something objectionable about pretty much any company. People just don't give a shit until it's something that directly affects them. People can choose to avoid businesses because they feel their liberal or conservative. That's their right. Me. I try not to inject politics into my daily routine. I go about my business during the day and that's the last thing in my mind. I don't agree that chic fil a donated money that ultimately found its way to anti-gay organizations. That didn't keep me from enjoying a spicy chicken sandwich today though.

...have you ever set foot in 'mericah, oz?

...it's less "paranoia", and more about being assertive and taking responsibility for one's (and one's family) security... shit does happen every once in a while, and when it does it finds you! ...you generally don't get to pick the time and place of your fight... ;)

did you happen to catch an episode or two of the local evening news?... :D

...if you've been out in public in 'mericah, it's pretty likely some of the people in your vicinity ,unbeknownst to you, may have been carrying guns, knives, etc... of those, some of them were law-abiding citizens, and ...some, ...well, let's say play by different rules...

wasn't implying, per se, ...just curious... we have our share of violent criminal/predators here...

as you know, some of the horrific violent crime makes national, or even international headlines, ...but much more is part of the daily reporting at the local levels...
