I think they go for 2500. He said that he got a deal.
Why can you get them cheaper?
Some people with back issues need special seats

I cant get them cheaper. Paying that much for a seat is retarded. Dont try and change my mind. Unless it gives you a blowjob while it cools your balls, its not worth the money.

While I think it is often poor form but common in forums for people to tell others how to spend thier money. But to answer your question @the_white_shadow I paid a $1000 to a private seller. There was no way I could personally justify the high cost of the seat and get cleared from the household banker for a purchase over this. All said and done, 700 mile drive and 1k later I had an awesome seat. However if you find a manufacturer that does cool the balls and take care of business I will be selling this seat to upgrade.

I did get a smokin' deal on the seat with the bracket. I did recently find a pair in excellent condition on Ebay yesterday. I think a pair of left and rigt together were $2400. I will likely get a slightly cheaper model for the passenger, mainly because my comfort is not changed with a passenger seat as I am always the driver. I have been really happy with the seat so far. I have had some significant back problems and the TRD seat was killing me. The planted bracket worked awesome but I am going to need to make a riser spacer for the seat. I always have it maxed out on the height adjustment. I figure either some 3/4" aluminium would do the trick. The seat definitely keeps you in the seat and relaxed. Getting in and out of the seat is not as easy because it has moderate side bolsters for the seat cushon. I think Recaro makes other models that have a flatter profile that might be better for tall lifted trucks.

I swapped powered seats out of a 99 Camry that I sent to the scrap yard. Here's my build: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/99-camry-power-seat-swap.529325/

It was kind of a PITA, I had to re weld every bracket which may not be a bad thing if you have a welder and dont mind fab work. The good part is my truck already had a plug for power seats under the carpet so some wire splicing and it was done. Seats are super comfortable and I love them, the downside is you lose the flip forward ability so getting stuff in and out of the extra cab area is a royal pain.

Overall it was a good mod because the seats were free and they are comfortable.
