i know it's getting beat to death now but i guess i was wrong about these being chevy as it's been prob. 20 yrs. since scoping them out.

This is upside down and had japanese markings. They really did work well.

I have the ARB airbag Bush Ranger and it works great, you can also use your compressor to inflate it as well as your exhaust. Very adjustable for height.

I don’t off-road a lot but I’ve never had to change a tire on my truck while off road.... *knock on wood* is the stock jack that comes with the truck useless for anywhere that isn’t level? This thread is making me think now...

Not useless but there are much better alternatives.

It's better than not having anything at all. But yeah, there are "better" options. The first would be just a plug kit and an air compressor. They're not effective if you tear into your sidewall, but I've seen people get very creative with a pack of plugs and zip-ties.

You're not likely to destroy your vehicle if you end up driving for a bit on a flat tire either, in order to get to a flat spot. Worst case is you scratch up your wheel.

You just need to weigh the cost/benefit of getting a specific off-road jack vs. the few, if ever times you end up needing it.

Another way to help ensure you don't need to change a tire is to run E rated tires. Thicker and more durable, but they do reduce your MPGs slightly.

If you don’t off road and you’re unsure about your factory jack, join the auto club.
