Anyone have photos or descriptions of changing stock bench seats from a 2009 taco to Bucket seats? Links, vids, or experiences would be greatly appreaciated!

I have a 2011 regular cab, and I've looked into it a lot, and there are lots of different answers. Some years are pre drilled, some have air bags, etc etc. In my case the regular cab automatics of my year came with buckets, and that's the only way to do it and have it work the easiest, bolt on and plug in.
My year has SRS and seat airbags, and that's where the complication is. There's an in seat sensor on the passenger side.
Older years don't all have this, but some don't have the holes in the floor either.
Hopefully other users chime in, because I have no experience actually doing it. This is all information I found using the search.

Thanks for your reply! I don't think there are any in seat air bads. This is the bench seat, basically a utility vehicle with no extra bells or whistles. I'm just wondering if you need to an an extra rail or something. Anyone who has done this before on a 2009 bench seated tacoma please let me know!

Mine is bench too, 4x4 5spd. There's a tag on the seam of the seat that says it's got an air bag on the drivers side of mine. Everything that I've found seems to point to getting the seats and all hardware including rails out of whatever vehicle you get it from. Bench only has 2 rails (I need to look at mine again), a pair of buckets needs 4.

Sounds like the same truck as mine. 5 speed 4X4. I'll have to see if there is a driver side airbag. I was assuming I needed to buy additional rails. I've read on other forums is tough to get the right rails...

Yeah also if yours has any wiring such as air bags or passenger side weight sensor, that not all buckets have the same plug or even right number of wires. And I don't wanna go splicing anything that has anything to do with an airbag. The only guaranteed fit I've found for mine are 2011 regular cab 4x4 automatic bucket seats. I looked at one and everything looked like it would fit perfect in mine and plug in the same. Otherwise pretty much all the regular cabs came with the crappy bench seat.
There is an article on here somewhere about making the bench more comfortable though.

Thanks for your reply Shepdog! So I guess the 08 and 09 bucket seats are a similar generation. The guy in the link didn't have to mess with the rails. That could be helpfull....
