I am replacing my injectors in my 96 Tacoma 3.4L 5vz-fe I know the 95-98 Tacoma’s take the 23250-262030 injectors but I got a set of 23250-62040 from a friend. I also have the correct ones coming in by mail but being that I live in Hawaii might take a while. My question is can you use the 23250-62040 in the 96 v6?

After looking on Denso's website I would guess that they are compatible. Looks like they released a new and improved type of injector in 1999. The 62040 has a slightly higher flow rate compared to the older model. The older ECU may not like it though.

    Denso 23250-62030 240 cc/min

That's a lot of work - installing injectors "...just to see...". Why not wait until the right ones arrive?
