Actually... There is a video on YouTube of a dude running an old car he was about to retire like 500 miles on used fryer oil. It ran fine the whole time, he had to stop because his insurance for the vehicle was up.

I run Mobil 1 0-20 and a Toyota filter changed at every 5k.

Where do you get it? How long are your intervals?

My buddy is an Amsoil dealer so i get it from him but you can order it online. Amsoil says you can go 20k between oil changes but I do oil and filter every 10k. I use Amsoil severe gear in the diffs and t-case also.

Actually thought it was 25k per change. Would take me down to once a year changes which would be nice.

Shell/Pennzoil Platinum is made from natural gas, very clean. Our engines are not stressful on oil (as opposed to turbocharged or air cooled engines), so just use any big brand synthetic that's on sale.

Any synthetic is a good choice for this engine, it isn't a high output engine so temps don't get crazy. Sludging and timing chain wear is the only real killer for the 1GR and any quality oil over dino will combat that.

I'd use Mobil1 or Castrol Syntec 0/5w20 personally. Amsoil/PP/Motul is a touch overkill in my opinion, but it's only 5L of oil and it's not a huge price difference.

i rock 0w-30 Mobil 1.... its cheap and offers good startup protection even in my warmer climate.

But like stated... stick with OEM oil filters.... and a quality recommended oil every 5k and it really doesnt matter

Same here. Although I have a commercial account for having a business in the family. It makes the oil prices tolerable. LOL!

I go one year or 10K, whatever comes first.

Remember, you can only go long durations if your engine is in good shape. You'd never want to go this long if your engine has a lot of blowback, was older or consumed a lot of oil.

I buy Mobil 1 oil at Walmart but they don't have the Mobil 1 oil filters which I like. I buy a few Mobil 1 oil filters at Autozone or O'Reilly at a time when I'm passing by a store. This weeks prices for 5 qts: Walmart $24.97, Autozone $34.99. Mobil 1 is very good, cheap, and you can find it anywhere. Royal Purple, Amsoil while maybe marginally better, is rare and expensive around my neck of the woods. As often as I change my oil the Mobil 1 is perfect and convenient.

I use Pennzoil or Mobil1.. whatever is on sale or has a rebate. Sometimes I'll even mix it if say I have 4 quarts of Mobil 1 and 1.5 qts of Penn laying around. Doesn't matter as long as it's syn and same viscosity and you change it!

 Don't you know? That's very dangerous! You can blow up your kneuter valve or even slip a pelican pin!!!!

I have 184K on my Honda Accord.. I change every 3K with Dino Pennzoil... no probs, opened her up to replace the valve gasket and clean as a whistle. As long as your consistent in changing your oil, you should be good.

I replace the kneuter valve every time I change the blinker fluid, every other 3K miles

Wow, I don't think I'll ever get a 3rd gen.... this looks like a huge undertaking. For me in my 2nd gen takes like 20 minutes with no tools (fumoto valve) and no mess. I don't even have to lie down on the ground, just reach under to flip the fumoto valve.

I run Mobile 1 Synthetic. I've had the truck since it was new and now have 131k miles on the clock. I've always run synthetic and changed the filter at 5k mile intervals and the oil every 10k. So when I change the filter I add half a quart and run the oil another 5k miles. Then when I change the oil I do the filter too.
When I peer into the oil filler neck I can see the timing chain and it's sparkling clean. For what it's worth, I try and use OEM filters but I've used a few different types in between the normal OEM ones.

Mobil 1 5w-30 and toyota filters. The Toy filters you can get cheap online at ebay or Amazon.
I bought a NEW Fumoto valve and it leaked from the valve. Sent it back. Just use the plug, not as easy but reliable.
My 97 4 runner with 250k miles on it with mobil 1 5w30 the whole time. No problems.

    Same as everybody else...
Whatever high quality high mileage synthetic oil is on sale at WW. I've used QSUD, Pennzoil Pure Platinum, M1 and Castoil and really don't notice a difference between them. I think using a high quality filter and oil combination, changed at the recommended interval, is the most important thing.

I only received 1 free oil change when I bought my stuff years ago.

As far as 2 years of free service, I would take advantage of it depending on convenience of the dealer's location(near work/home/routine shopping location), do I have to do it at the purchased from dealer if another is more convenient, whether I trusted their service department, ease of scheduling, intervals for service, time required for them to complete the service with me sitting in the waiting room, etc, etc.

Where I live now, I would go for it. Free oil, free filters, convenient dealer and their service department isn't bad. The four states I have lived in with this truck prior to moving here, I would not simply due to dealer location being out of the way.

Dealer encounters can be friendly, and you can occasionally find out about other issues with your vehicle such as recalls. Do your due diligence if they come out and say your flux capacitor needs replacing.

I say go for it. If you don't like the service, you can always switch to doing your own.
