changing out tailgate lock 2016 taco

my preowned 2016 taco limited did not come with a "valet" key that locks & unlocks tailgate. Toyota dealer says they cannot get a new key for me from vin number cause that lock is not specific to that truck. a new handle would have to be swapped out at the cost of 170Dollars! wonder if they know my model truck has camera incorporated in that handle. think it may be above that 170 dollar mark Any ideas as to how I could get a key for my gate or any other ideas how I can lock up my cargo area???

 

Pop and Lock would be an option. Very convenient in my opinion.
