I purchased a Supercrewsound.com sub box a couple years ago, and got it with the optional 6" mounting depth. Currently I'm running a JL Audio 10W1v2 sub in it, off an Alpine MRP-500 amp, giving the sub 300W. I'm pleased with it, but I'm also hoping for a little more punch. I wanted to buy a JL Audio 10W3v3 initially, but the shop wanted $400 for it (gotta love Canada!). Recently online shopping, I've discovered a website that I can get the 10W3v3 for $270. I'd get the 2-ohm version, so that my amp will send 500w to the sub. My question is, is this a good upgrade? Will I pick up the wanted punch that I'm looking for. Everything in the specs page says yes, talking about excursion and power handleing. Just looking for expert opinions.

ps. I do prefer JL subs, just like the sound of them and construction. But I am open to suggestions on similar quality subs.
