As far as pressure, not sure, but I do know that the topic has been discussed on a few threads. You could chech 2nd generation on the tab for Forum list above. As fare as tire size for stock You are correct 265 75 R16 or 265 70 R17 are considered max for stock suspension on 2nd generation Tacoma. Also a topic under Forum list.

Hey buddy just wanted to say thanks for starting this thread! Totally had all the same questions and it helped in my decision making. You should put some pictures up of your truck when you finish putting everything on! Oh and Thanks for the Cooper recommendation I haven't looked at those yet, but am def gonna check them out. :)

I currently have a 2012 Sport Upgrade package that uses stock 265/60/18 and that pretty much matches your choice of 265/70/16 ratio wise so I really don't see any issue unless the factory suspension is changed between the Off Road or the Sport 4x4. Keeping the factory rims, you are really just changing to a larger sidewall.

Only thing that could affect it would be the difference between offset/backspace between the 16in stock rims and the 18in sport upgrade rims on the sport upgrade. Maybe someone can chime in if they know that as I don't have it commited to memory :)

Stock suspension in this pic. Had a tiny bit of rubbing (during normal street driving) on the stock front mudflaps at full lock (main and baby front mudflap) so I removed them. Fine on the streets otherwise.

Kyle, I swapped out my stock Dunlop 245X75-R16 for Michelin LTX M/S2s 265X70-R16. That is the optional size for Tacomas. You should have no rubbing at all and odometer will be accurate. I have my tires at 32/34 PSI typically.

The wider stance gives better cornering and overall better ride and handling. They look like they belong on our trucks.

I think the consensus is you will be fine. 265/75s will fill the wheel well much better though. I just dumped my 245s and couldn't be happier.
