Edit#1: weekend of the 23rd of sept. is locked in. meet up will be here 15240 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85739 at the Valero. Its roughly 10 mins to the trail head from here and we will air down there. I'd like to shoot for an early start time but still give the Phoenix peeps plenty of time to get there. Hoping for an 8:00 departure time.
Edit #2: this will be a family fun time. Kids, wives etc... all are welcome! Shenanigans can be organized separately! And I enjoy shenanigans so there's a good chance some of us might go off and do said shenanigans.

So now that the weather is starting to turn I'd like to throw together a run through Charalous Gap with optional camping on the back side of Mt. Lemon. Open to dates, times, etc. If your interested post up with available dates and we'll try to make this accommodating to as many as possible. Here's a run down from experience-az. It's not an easy trail. I plan on camping about 3/4 the way up the backside of mt. Lemmon after the run is done. If you don't want to camp you can head back to Phoenix from Oracle or back to Tucson via Oracle or down the front side of the mountain. Let's hear some suggestions....

Either, I'm open to dates. I know rug road will be coming up soon as well as Moab so let me know what works and I'll try to put something together to accommodate as many as possible @stumbles

Also, I'm not deterred to making it a November run if that works better for everyone. My camp spot is good for 6 to 8 trucks. Anymore and I can scope another location.

I will have to play it by ear Alex. My son had his of fibula broken at football practice on 8/11 he had surgery on the 14th and has had complications with severe nerve damage. He is going to get a nerve block on Thursday to stop the hyper active nerve in the leg (RSD). Nothing would make happier than for him to be recovered and have him come out and play in the dirt. Maybe for wheeling, but i'll skip the camping. The length of charouleau is always unpleasant.

Haven't run the full gap (due to my Peerunner) so forgive my ignorance, but when you say backside of Mt. Lemmon do you mean heading up the control road afterwards?

I could link up with y'all for the control road/camping/shenanigans on either the 23rd or 7th, preferably the 7th if it comes down to it

And @05tacomabro I might be in for this! Lift kit is on order for the '15 but I'll probably bring the YJ. Is @mbmack1 aware of potential shenanigans?
