He's the one that got negative feedback for his mounts...I agree, needs beefier mounts.

I know it was on here too, and I dont like the mounts =/ just easier to find shit on ttora seems like less traffic. I think that guy who has the tundra rack looks sick.

 

I hear ya about finding stuff on ttora easier...I spent a while looking for that here as the op reminded me of the post and was trying to find it for him. I gave up until I saw the name again.

Bruteforce was not the one I was originally searching for, it was this one...

 

I'd go as far as to say I don't like how it is all bolted together either, especially where it cantalevers over the cab. I understand it is designed to be modular, just looks like one of many week points. I do like the idea though

 

I like the look of snogod06's work (idk if its his or his boys but its nice) id put that on my acces cab if he produced them or could give me a good deal

I'm interested in how it mounts and how much weight you feel comfortable with up there.

My thought is too much weight/bad mounts would lead to it collapsing into the cab/ripping from the bed.

Not dogging your design at all, I like it and it looks well thought out. Freehand or cad?

From what i remember the two arms farthest in the back are secured through the bed rail with plates on the bottom side to deter pull through. The arms closest to the cab go all the way down to the bed, mounted through the bed with bracing underneath as stated for the other ones. Their is also a support bar between the two arms closest to the cab. Again, ill have to take another look at it when I see the owner. Just shooting of my memory.

 

I've given hint to billy (brute force) that I want a rack like this, I still gotta send him a pic but this guy had talent so he can pull it off. Besides he's only 25 min away.

No real rush, just looks like the best design for this style rack which is not seen that often. Good work.

 

Just looked at the edit..This was built from just scribbling on paper pretty much. Thats what by girlfriend said when she went out to ask him something. He's my GF's broski so seen a lot of his work, he pretty much just writes shit down fast and BAM!!! You got something built.
