Shout-out to @spiralout462 for the icon AAL. I sanded the surface rust off of them which seems to be a common issue and hit them with some flat black enamel.

I also received my JBA UCAs, OME 887 with lean spacer last week so I'm about ready to try the install myself. I think I'm going to order to Ubolts and center pins just to be on the safe side and start with fresh hardware.

Wow! They look great! I did hit them with rustoleum black when they were new. I didn't take them apart though. I can't wait to see everything installed. I know it's eating you up! :) I just put on the coveralls. Gotta go outside and finish changing diff fluids.

Yea man, a step closer each day it feels. I've been watching the videos of installing coils without using a spring compressor. Seems straight forward so I think that's the better route. Plus, it sounds like a good excuse to invest in a floor jack.

You're welcome to borrow mine if you don't want to buy one. You probably should get one though. You'll use it all the time. Make sure it lifts high enough. Alot of them do not.

I live in Wyoming currently and found out the best maintenance for any vehicle is a can of rustoleum flat black and a wire wheel. Beat the rust before it beats you haha. Looking good, are those control arms pretty stout?

Yea, nothing a bit of sand paper won't fix. The UCAs look nice and beefy. I don't plan on launching off jumps/dunes either. JBA does have an HD option. I think those are around $600 though.

So I'm looking at Wheelers and Headstrong for buying new U bolts and Center pins for the AAL. Looks like I need 1/2 inch 7.75 Ubolts to go with the Icon Progressive AAL.

There is a big difference in pricing between the two sites for these products.

Also, what is the recommended time to replace the top plates? I thought about ordering them just to have them in case mine are wore out, but then again thats $75 extra.

Finished wiring up the bed lights. It's a bitch to run wires up the frame rail on these trucks.

And used one of the supplied switches from my light bar. The switch that came with this kit was a POS. The kit was 2 60in strips, I cut the end off and used those for up near the cab. Then just ran extra wire and soldered back together.

EDIT - Link to the Amazon kit I purchased.

Thanks, I'm hoping I didn't mess up by not having the switch easier to access.

I actually like the lights alot. Time will tell on the 3m tape that is holding them on. I still need to drill some small holes in the bed rails to zip ties the wires nice and snug.

U bolts and Center pins came in today. And the fact that Wheelers sends you candy, plus a Tacoma themed calendar with your purchase is awesome.

I'll have to buy something from them every January to keep my calendar updated!

    Thanks! @YotaDan

Well, after what seemed like months I finally installed my lift. I think it took us about 8 hours. We went slow and had air tools (I have got to get a compressor in my garage). My buddy's dad garage has every possible tool so we didn't need any emergency runs to the store.

One thing I had to do was cut off the factory emergency brake line bracket off the overload leaf so the icon AAL would fit with it.

My ABS and Trac lights are on so I'm a bit worried I may have messed up a sensor or wire somewhere. We made sure not out any extra stress on them so I can't believe we messed up.

I'm stoked on how this turned out, and the red JBA UCAs aren't as noticeable as I thought. I actually like the bit of red in the wheel well. Now for the pics!

I went to Dave in Exmore for alignment. He calibrated the sensors for 20 bucks with the Hunter tool. Im betting that fixes the lights!

    @Crom explained it great somewhere.

    Truck looks great!

So the lift is consisting of jab uca, 5100's, icon aal, and the bigger tires? How does it ride? Effective cost wise?
