Only 1st gens in that price range. Mods are generally expensive, unless they’re just visual mods.

1st gen Tacomas are great though. Take your time with the search and you’ll find one you love.

Never ever ever open or use credit cards for mods. You’ll be in debt forever.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
There is a nice white 5 lugger with a cap on CL Buffalo for I think $2,500. Edit: sorry, it’s gone

I’d suggest a pre Tacoma, aka pickup. Get a decent shape 22re, they are trucks that are a lot of fun to drive and pretty easy to find parts for. And the cheapest mods would be plasti dip, lol.

I have one......not for sale though! I have so much fun in that stupid little truck! :)
Scour craigslist daily, sometimes some really good trucks come along and you gotta jump on them immediately. Also, word of mouth by friends and family, and if you’re into it, Facebook ads too. Search the threads for the area you live in (Midwest, I think) and post what you’re looking for, often members will direct you to what you want.
Good luck in your search, don’t give up, it will be a great feeling when you find what you want!!

That's the best way. Don't rush out and buy the first truck you see. Take your time, check it top to bottom and you'll get the right one for you.meanwhile keep reading the forums and put together a plan.maybe start stashing parts.
