@SWNewMexico14 Could you give me more info about how you did your spring poles on the side? Grommets used? Spring pole info?
    Thanks. :hattip:

Ya man I just purchased some brass grommets at Walmart along with the tool to install them. The poles I found at ace hardware they’re just bare steel poles that I bent and cut to find the right height. With the grommets I put a piece of gorilla tape on each side of the fabric then cut a hole and installed the grommet. Hope that helps lol

Haven't done a ton to it.
Did get the bag taken care of. Added some lash straps to it.
Did get a couple different U-bolt clamps that I think will work better with the Yakima bars.
    Will use these instead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019I64F2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Did get some spring rod to make an awning. Waiting to get a grommet kit.

Now that it has stopped snowing here, I am looking to get out for the maiden voyage.

Thanks for the inspiration ... Will replace the wood supports with folding conduit "legs" in the next week or two.

Can't wait to test it on my road trip to NM and CO in a few weeks20180513_162248.jpg

thanks for all the info, on how you guys go about it putting this together. I just took it out and field test it and went with the flow to see what works for me and what I need to add and adjustments. During my camping, i ended taking the other legs out, and I'm keeping the middle legs and keep it mounted like that, because now I can add store stuff in the middle and under the tent, since it gives me a high clearance.

Sorry for the wait on pics....life is busy. :goingcrazy:

My son wanted to driveway camp last night, so I threw the tent on the truck in probably about 30 minutes. That was only because I had to tweak a few things that needed tweaking. I knew that would have to happen.
My plan is to take it off the truck later and wrap up the "loose ends", small adjustments.
Will take pictures of the last few steps that I have been meaning to post up in my thread VVVVV.
