Had a grilled chicken sandwich from Wendy's and a medium fry. Still 520 calories under for the day. Will grab something at home.

Had a graduation party to attend- pulled pork loin (that's a new one on me). Had one sandwich. Talk about willpower. Will end up with 1,800 calories in today, but did 4.5 mile hike this a.m. and 30 minutes of cardio in about 1/2 hour. I'm stuck on a weight plateau and haven't really budged in a couple of weeks.

I had a graduation to attend as well. Fortunately the food was not good.

1 hotdog and 1 cupcake and water. Got gone in hurry and went for a 2 mile walk.

So why a Fitbit other than the obvious? Does it provide motivation or help with anything else? I don't see well close up without reading glasses so what other benefits are there? I noticed some of them have the feature of notifications for texts and calls. That would be good for someone like me that doesn't feel the phone vibrating on my belt. I'm kind of stumped on this one.

Main thing is it's a pedometer so it's a lot easier to judge the calorie burn since it tracks you all day. Fitbits main competetor is Garmin with their vivo line of products. They make a vivosmart hr that has a built in heart rate monitor (and although the optical ones that these type devices utilize aren't as accurate as a chest strap, they are fine for people looking to "get fit" and not worried about training for an ironman) that would probably do everything you could ask for and has a pretty decent sized screen.

Overate for dinner yesterday and think I compensated for it today. Low appetite most of the day but I got a good plan for what's on the menu for the week. Didn't get as much activity in as hoped for this weekend.

I believe i would like to try this. I have battled with my weight for a very long time, and where i live there really isnt very many healthy food options. In my line of work, sometimes im able to set down and eat a packed lunch, and other times im stuck in the field all day with only fast food options. Im really wanting to try my best to get healthier. Im not really to unhealthy, most doctors reports come back completely normal, but im tired of just carrying the extra weight, id like to be able to rid myself of this lifelong plague of being fat Ill give a little info now.

    36 years old
    Heaviest adult weight/302pds
    Lowest adult weight/199pds
    Current weight/281pds
    Goal weight around 230-240

I have a very short, broad structure (my wife says i have 3ft of back and 2ft of legs). I actually think i have a powerlifter type bodystyle. So i hold my weight very well, im just ready to get rid of the excess, i want to feel better about myself, my health, like i said above, is actually pretty good, would just love some extra help and idea's on how to cut down the extra flab. Im beyond ready, and was just thinking about this earlier today, and seen this post, so this may be a sign. Ill do a weigh in, in a few days, have been indulging lately, and am ashamed if what it mayshow :-(

I'll go through tomorrow when I'm on a computer and double check everybody participating is in the list on the OP, and everybody with an MFPal account is added.

If anyone has added their MFPal account to the thread and doesn't see it on the first post, shoot me a PM, please!

Ate like a shit today, fast food lunch and burger and hot dog for dinner but no breakfast and no pigging out still stocks me at 1600 calories for the day, I'm allowed 2600. Didn't have formal exercise, but spent the afternoon doing grunt work and helping rebuild a large chicken coop run, about 40 ft long, and in the sun all day.

Also got rid of 2 rats with my pellet gun.

Personally I have the Blaze and I like it a lot. It's a decent size, not a tiny screen and it's a color screen too. It does have the option for notifications for texts and calls, so it'll buzz on your wrist and you can view the texts on it as well.

It's got the built in heart rate monitor which by my own check is pretty accurate for a wrist monitor. Plus, it has the option to get different bands and frames for the actual Fitbit piece itself, so it's a bit more customizable.

I have tiny wrists but I wear a large wristband on the 3rd tightest notch.

Didn't have time to pack breakfast or lunch today.. Did get out chicken to cook for dinner tonight however. Will likely grab something quick for breakfast and a salad for lunch.

Does anyone have any advise on how to eat healthy while camping? Like staying away from the typical dogs and burgers while out, but not over complicating things with packing, storage, equipment, and producing. Eggs and oatmeal in the morning should be easy for breakfast. Trying to stay away from processed foods as much as possible(within reason). Will a basic house hold blender work with our electrical outlet on our trucks?

Checking in- weight is down from a high of 244.6 to 229.4 as of last night after ~90 minutes of climbing at the gym. That's 15 lbs lost so far. Still doing LCHF (65/30/5 appr. macros) and it's going well.

Goal is still 200-210 normal weight range. Current progress is definitely noticeable- gotten some comments at work. Good stuff!
