Mostly because it's an important date and now for me an infamous date, and I thought June was July until I woke up today and realized it was June and not July

Supposedly we tend to die 7 years earlier on average than right handed people

Finding baseball gloves wasn't hard at a store. But learning to golf and play guitar type instruments right handed because the left handed versions are more expensive was bull shit

    Ok, here goes.

    20 years old
    6'3"
    Currently about 286 (Dry weight)
Heaviest adult weight was about 320, not sure about my lightest.

Goal weight is ~220, I care more about performance than weight so I'll measure my success in my workouts.
Pic on left is July of '14, ~320 lbs, pic on right is from Feb of '15, ~250 lbs

Can I get in on this action?
Almost 40. I am 6'1". Current weight is 240. My heaviest was 265. My best was 195. I would like to get back to that by December. I have been on the increase since my son was born 3 years ago. Now number 2 will be here in December. I still get to the gym, but only like 4-6 times a month.

Also, FUCK YOU Sugar. No wait, I love you.

Interesting. My calcualted BMR at my heaviest was 2210 p/day and currently at 1966 p/day. Explains the slowing weight loss. Now that I've added weights it may pick up again. We'll see.

idealy i'd really like to be around 230. But i dont see it happening based off my love for food and no desire to workout.

I've been lucky and most my skins rebounded and not loose.

Looking at this thread between work, this is something I need to do.
Growing up I was in great shape, played sports, and I remember my driver's license reading 146 when I first got it. However, college killed me (I went to a computer tech school - nerdy pays the bills and then some, but kills the waist).
I don't respond much to motivational videos or any of that, feel lost at the gym, and hate feeling like I need to do huge research projects to make this work. I work best with accountability/people who are in it with me, so maybe this is going to be the breakthrough..?

    Age: 35
    Height: 5'11", stocky build
Current: 225? I have to weigh in again
Lowest adult weight: Not sure, lbs started adding in my mid-20s
    Highest weight: 245
Target weight: 180? I was told that at some point at least
    Computer guy
    Picture later

I recently tried a Whole30 diet, but only made it 1.5 weeks after realizing I was constantly paranoid/angry trying to make meals work, getting upset stomach, and that I had been screwing it up by using PAM (freaking PAM has soy, so I had never really been on the diet the whole time). I'd rather have a long-term, normal diet, even though it was crazy to lose 1 lbs per day.

Anyway, I'll be focusing on posting some sort of achievement a day, or a question, or something, hoping to start and keep momentum.

So It's lunchtime here. I was good today, PBJ with apple sauce and a granola bar. I'm probably going to be hungry later, maybe the vending area has some vegeterrible thing.
Following lunch I'll take a walk
I typically get a 20oz soda in the afternoon (my addiction), but I'm going to do water (my dedication to y'all).

QUESTION OF THE DAY - Apps!
What app do you guys think is best? Lose It!, MyFitnessPal, Google Fit, something else?
What do you use to track your biking, or walking?
Do you use an app that allows you to pick foods and it auto-tracks calories? What has been your success with it? My problem has been trying to track items that are homemade - my OCD says if I don't weigh out and measure every little thing, it's not accurate. How do you combat this?

I'm going to kick things off with trying Google Fit and Water Drink Reminder for my Android, though if we have a check in thing we are all using, I'll be on board.

For today, haven't eaten supper yet, but I'm pretty happy with my macros.

I've been terrible at tracking my intake lately, some days I start and forget about it by lunch and some days I do it at the end of the day but I don't always remember everything I ate/drank.

I love my Fitbit app for the ease of calorie counting vs my expended calories but I like how my fitnesspal shows macros.
