What the crap? This was a mile even according to the app before I hit end workout, the time stayed the same.

Ran without the dog tonight, had a much more enjoyable pace, now I just have to start building distance, gotta do 1.5 in 16:20 (if I remember correctly) in 1.5 months.
Gonna be cleaning up my diet again, it has slipped a little since moving back to the south but i didn’t let it get as bad as it used to be.

So far I’m down 10 lbs, I was also given an Apple Watch which is great for tracking workouts and heart rate.

Had to be into work earlier than normal so I figured I may as well go ahead and get up at 5 instead of 6 and do this.

.25 mile warmup, push-ups, another .25 mile, suicide sprints, more push-ups, another round of suicides, and then a swim this evening to finish it off.

I haven’t stepped on the scale lately but I’m pretty happy without how often I’ve made time to workout this month.

Still at it, had a large southern breakfast this morning, lied to myself that I was going to run after breakfast, spent the afternoon in a good coma and then around 5:00 started working on a truck, finished up around 10:00, drove home and made myself do half a mile even though my legs were screaming “NO”.

    Reserected from the dead.
I hear ya. I did behave and I did work out. 2 miles of rapid walking and 30 minutes on the elliptical. I have no idea the distance or calories, the batteries in the elliptical corroded.

Starting tomorrow I’ll be doing 2 miles not 1.5, I’m going to try 2 miles 4-5 days a week.

Yeah, I thought they gave us patrol cars so we don’t have to run, but I guess we have to be prepared.
Awesome, I need to find a gym near me, I moved so the gym I was using for free at my friends house is 30 minutes away.

How is the running coming along?

How long have you been running?

I caught the last couple of pages with your activity on the screen shots

It’s goong all right, I think my pace will pick up to 10:00/mile in the next 2-3 weeks.

About 4 weeks ago I started running a little on the treadmill when doing my gym workouts, 8/12 was my first run (.5 mile) in a couple months, other than swimming I didn’t work out very much from June-August.

I’m not a fast runner and I run-walk-run a lot but because of my stride I make it up fairly well.

Your transformation is incredible! Congrats. Have you tried running outside? I found that running in a treadmill was horrible for me. Once I took my running outdoors it made it more enjoyable and the difference in direction/terrain/elevation etc made for a better workout.

Thanks! Lately I’ve been running outside, I think I enjoy it more but the time seems to pass slower, on a treadmill I can zone out and just run, a main reason I was using the treadmill was to try to set my pace but I realized I can’t hold a pace if I have to walk to catch my breath when I run. The biggest issue I have with running outside is 80+ degrees and 80% humidity even at night.

I feel you. We have high humidity and extremely high temps in my corner of the world as well. Have you tried swaping from miles to kilometers? Somehow hearing your pace more often helps more that hearing it every once in a while like with miles. Have you considered running any local events? It helps running in a big group and having a finish line to run towards
