Well I'm 27 and am right at 6' tall. Current weight is an embarrassing 315ish lbs. will weigh my self tomorrow when I get to a scale. The least I have weighted as an adult was when I graduated boot camp in 2009 at 180 lbs. Im looking to get down to 210 lbs.

This is me at 180 lbs on 25 Apr 2009

It works, but how it works varies from person to person... I dropped the weight over three years, have kept it off the past two years... lifestyle change, not "diet" per se

First off, great thread. motivating

An introverted bodybuilder wannabe minus the genetics, in the process of attempting to cut weight for summer, and finding it HARDER now that i'm 50 and soon to be 51:goingcrazy:

I'm a smaller guy (think manny pacquiao) at 5'7" and 163 but looking to get back down to 145ish as the pic shows 2 1/2 years ago :headbang:

If any older guys are involved, i'm sure they can attest to the difficulty in keeping fat at bay as we age.

Lotsa chicken breasts and perhaps the first time the broccoli-icon is truly suitable :broccoli:

IF I get a scale, I just might join in on this instead of just staying for the encouragement :p

Just a bunch of old crap
    Interesting thread.

I'm in training to climb Mt. Whitney in August on a 48 mile adventure, and I need to shed more weight so the pack doesn't kill my knees. 2 months left, and I need to shed another 20# before the trip. Hell, I need to lean up anyways because I'm not getting any younger, and I deal with high blood pressure and borderline diabetes. Been eating good whole foods, which is easy for me to do because I love lean proteins, tons of veggies, and I'm moderate on fruit because of my diabetes threat. I hike a minimum of 3 miles a day on a 600' elevation gain trail, usually 6 miles a day. I also mix in weights at the gym to keep everything above the belt in shape. At my age (42), the weight just likes to sit at the same number no matter what, but in the past 3 weeks I finally got into a rhythm and started dropping. I was at 251 before training started after the holidays. I'm 237 as of this morning, and I want to be at 220 for the trip. My height is 6'1".

I could sure use a challenge to keep me moving in the right direction. I'm competitive like that.

I think this is just what I needed.. I'm in! :D

    21 years old
    6'2"
    273.4 lbs

    Heaviest adult weight: 284 lbs.
    Lightest adult weight: 220 lbs.

    Goal weight: 210-220 lbs.

I got down to 220lbs a couple of summers after high school(2013) and that's the lowest i've been.
Was told that a late graduation gift in June 2014 was that myself and 2 of my friends could go skydiving. At the time I was currently around 240-250lbs and needed to be 225.. so something had to be done(Did I mention it was FREE?). I ended up dropping the weight in about 2-3 weeks by sweating it out.. but it was all water weight and just came right back on after.

Now I currently have a desk job Monday-Friday so I am constantly sitting down all day and by the time I get off work I'm already tired and never feel like going to the gym :anonymous:

I'm hoping this encouragement may be what I needed to get to my goal weight.

Just went and weighed myself and took these pictures.. just for you guys ;)
    .IMG_4941.jpgIMG_4940.jpgIMG_4938.jpg

Oh and obligatory skydiving pictures/goal weight picture of 220lbs.

I have been going at "it" for a while. Slowly but surely, I see results. One question for you all, though...............what do ya'll use as a "good" meal replacement shake. I don't need anything full of protein or for building muscle. I just need something that I can drink and that will make me feel full and control hunger.
    Thanks.

I like ON whey protein in chocolate malt. Not sure if it's meant for that use, but that's how I use it, in addition to increased protein.
