I feel like it's always better to eat your calories rather than drink them, but I do make this smoothie a lot. And my daughter loves them. None of these measurements are exact.
    1 frozen banana
    1 handfull of spinach
2 spoon fulls of cocoa powder
1 big ass spoon full of almond butter
1 spoon full of super seed blend (Costco)
Half a spoon full of honey
    4 ice cubes or whatever
    Fill with almond milk
    Blend and enjoy

Can't add this to MFPal but, here's dinner.

Quinoa, red onion (raw), cilantro, avocado (1/2), lime juice (1/2 of lime), shrimp.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Looks similar. Honey soy shrimp with quinoa/brown rice and steamed veggies

You can add that to myfitnesspall you just have to weigh it on a scale individuallly. Then when you have that meal again you can easily find it's macros

If I had the values and weights, no problemo. But I don't.

I had an Italian sandwich from a local deli today for lunch, didn't have a clue what it consisted of calorically, so I substituted a foot long Subway Italian BMT in my diet profile, even though my sandwich was half that size.

I'd like to join in on this.

    24 y/o
    5'9"
    170lbs?

    Heaviest: 182 lbs
    Lightest: 140 lbs
Goal: 155lbs? No specific weight goal, would like more confidence in taking my shirt off in public.
Would like more visible abs and need to be able to run a 5k by July 30th.

Realize I'm not that heavy but I have an issue with carrying around a spare tire.. Even at 140 lbs I couldn't maintain a flat stomach. Also would like to lose some of the fat on my face.

Good luck everyone. Going to try to stay active in this thread and hopefully get some others to hold me accountable.

Well I know at least you will James haha. I figure this could be just like having a marine DS. I'll either get myself in shape or suffer severe mental abuse and depression.

I use LoseIt. Arguably a more vast and searchable database of foods. You can easily jot in a recipe and it calculates everything.

    Regarding the subway quandary:
I bet myfitnesspal has those in catalog, I know LoseIt does. Really every food I've tried at a restaurant is in there.
The estimation by similarity is key, as you did. Be honest and estimate healthily. I'd say you should mark that you had 1/2 a sandwich if the comp one is half the size. Pretty soon you start to recognize the physical size of food and can guess pretty closely how many ounces, cups, or even rough calorie count. Estimates can be good enough if it's what sticks for you.
