Seeing some of the stuff you've done to your vehicle, I'd say you're more than capable of tackling it on your own.

I did my LCA's bushings in one day and this is while being outside, underneath my truck, while it was supported by 3 ton jackstands.

I used the bottle jack to push my bushings out; the new whiteline bushings went in with ease.

Had more trouble lining up the front bolt on my leaf springs when I replaced those compared to pulling out and reinstalling my LCA's.

Forgot to mention; I have no air/impact tools.

Breaker bars and arm strength for the fucking win.

Lol, yeah I don't have any either...well I have an impact driver but its nowhere as powerful as an impact wrench, if something is stuck good I have to rely on a breaker bar as well (and PB Blaster is a lifesaver). Fortunately I don't have to deal with rusty parts where I live but PB Blaster helps if you've used locktite on certain bolts.

Good idea with the bottle jack, I didn't think of that...will have to look more closely at how the LCA bushings go on. I think after this weekend's ordeal with the LBJ's I'm just not in the mood to think about another DIY project, give me another week or two and I'll probably reconsider lol.

Next on my list is to do my brake drums, I've got a rattling noise I think I've pinpointed to them and it's probably time they got renewed anyway. Also need to loosen my leaf springs and realign my rear axle, it's been slightly tweaked every since I installed my Expos and makes my alignment whack.

Man, if you did my brakes, I'd gladly do your LCA bushings :fistbump:

Hopefully they aren't too difficult, from what I've seen it's pretty straightforward as long as you take a pic of them before you disassemble to make sure everything goes in the right place lol.

My mom lives up in Monterey, maybe I'll hit you up next time I'm up there. Usually we take my wife's car though since the 30mpgs is a lot better than the 15 mpg I get lol

Instructions unclear, d%!$ stuck in LBJ :crapstorm:

A lot of TW'ers live up north of me still; can't get a mod party going if I tried.

It'll be fun once I learn to weld and perform a rear shock relocation.

Never use a pickle fork on ball joints... this is how you get ball joints loose just need a hammer

Hammer method didn't really work for me, with the truck on jack stands I couldn't get a good swing on the ball joint with the hammer while laying on my side/back.
The Pitman Puller I picked up though worked great, was super easy to pop off the ball joint with that

I bought two. I modified one of them as a makeshift upper balljoint press as per this guy. It was a stupid idea, and only worked after several hours of frustration and swearing. Don't do that. Just rent a proper BJ press, lol. They're free.

The real remedy is to install uniballs. That way you never have to deal with upper balljoints again! lol

Do you happen to know what size or have a link to the one you purchased?

I got the only one harbor freight sells as a single tool, it's a smaller one.. it just barely fits in the LBJ but worked well
