Holy crap! This show is amazing, I get more pissed off each episode. Being of a certain age(50+) I remember this like the Challenger tragedy. The show sucked me in during the first 5 minutes.

Is this like a documentary or a dramatic series loosely based off of true events or what?

It kind of has my interest piqued because the actual Chernobyl incident captivates me.

(Edit: Not able to hear the video right now, so I didn't watch the trailer, yet.)

I think its a great series. Really shows the incompetence and denial of the situation.

It's a dramatic/ character driven series.... but from the episodes so far they are staying pretty true to the events that unfolded.

I'm watching it... it's the only appointment TV for me now. There's a really good podcast that goes along with the show where they break down each episode with the creator and he explains how true things are (or where he took some liberties to fill in gaps).

Absolutely superb mini-series. Incredible ending. The real footage of some of those depicted, as well as the factual information provided, was amazing to see.

    This is a must-see series.

I was working on the construction of a plant, telling everyone how safe they were now (then) when it happened.

Just started watching it last night. Already hooked! The editing, story and characters are done so well. I can't believe this event even happened.
The arrogance of those involved is unbelievably staggering. They took a horrific situation and made it exponentially worse by trying to cover it up. What kind of insanity do you have to be under to think that others would not find out about this?

I had a ZX11 and new high speed internet when this was published so I found it very enjoyable.

I remember it being said later 'fake' but looking back the argument was weak.
