OEM Bed Mat:

• Very useful to have in the bed so stuff does not slide around and keep the bed from me bashing it...

 

SOS Concepts Swing Out Bumper:

• We ran into some issues installing this bumper as I got it used from a 2016 Tacoma. We were able to relocate the parking sensors and the BSM. As of the time of this writing, the BSM does not work because it is mounted at too extreme of an angle and more parking sensors need to be installed as two were damaged during the install.

• The new bumper makes the departure angle much better as the hitch is hidden behind the license plate and the spare is moved to the bumper.
• This is not the final bumper for this truck. Years down the road I want to get one with wrap around protection, a dual swing out, and hopefully by then some company will figure out how to allow the BSM to work with their bumper. It seems that once you put a hinge, where the BSM would mount is lost/because of the steel bumper in general.

 

DIY Triple Black Stripes:

• Long time followers of Cherry Bomb will recognize these stripes as a staple of the truck! I loved them so much from 1.0, I wanted to bring them to 2.0!
• They are based of the Taco Vinyl triple stripes, but for a fraction of the cost!

• The stripes are 14" long. This allows them to tuck into the engine bay and to be cut right at the start of the fender flares.

• The stripes are 2", 1.5", & 1" wide.

 

Spare Tire Lock:

• This spare tire lock combines a cable lock and stainless twisted link chain.

• The chain has a thickness of 2/0 and a 520 lb working load.

• Not sure if this will be a permanent solution, but I wanted piece of mind since I installed the new bumper with the spare.
• Long time followers of Cherry Bomb will recognize these cable locks were used to secure the traction boards on 1.0!

Updated Gas Can and Spare Tire Locks:

$10 Master Lock Covered Aluminum Lock, Locker Lock with Key, Key Lock for Gym Locker, 1 Pack, 141D, Black

Master Lock 141D lock:

• Upgrading my lock from a cable lock to something that is going to do a much better job! The cable lock was too easy to pick and the plastic coating made the lock hard to get out of the metal bar! New lock = safer and better!

$24 Trimax ST30 Trimaflex Spare Tire Cable Lock (Round Key) 36" x 12mm,Black / Chrome

Trimax ST30 Trimaflex Spare Tire Cable Lock:

• Same thing as the gas can lock! This is much better than the cable lock and it is quiet! On my first trail ride, the chains from the spare tire lock and the chain under the bed that was not being used were annoying! This gets rid of the chain and makes it quieter!

 

Spare Chain Zip Tied:

• On my first trail ride, I was annoyed with the sound of the spare tire chain that was moving around, so decided to zip tie it up so its quiet! The whole assembly is still there if I need to put the spare there in the future (the spare is currently on the bumper)!

• Shoutout to my dad for helping with this!

• One zip tie can solve this annoying issue!

• Details matter!

• Just like that, no more noise!

 

Grenade Stem Caps:
Cherry Bomb Needs some explosives!

It was weird that the plastic piece (the spoon) did not come glued on

Update: Do not use metal stem covers as they will corrode and attach themselves to the stem! Plastic only!

 

Pro Grille:
If you have been around since Cherry Bomb 1.0, then you know that I love the Pro Grille and as a nod to 1.0, 2.0 had to have it!

Just like the last grille, taking the letters out so I can paint them!

I got the grille used, so I bought a new sensor cover because the old one was beat up.

Looking good!

Looks great! The letters are a little too bright, but it is hard to tell!

MESO Customs Ultimate Interior Lights:

These lights are bright, maybe a little too bright! You have to get used to them and know that you are turning on the sun when you go to turn on the map light or when you open a door!

Gator Tri Fold Bed Cover:

Scored this bed cover on Craigslist for $40 this weekend!

The install for this is super easy and all you need is a 3/16 hex driver! The four mounts for the bed cover utilize the rail system on the sides of the Tacoma bed.

This picture showcases the mount near the tailgate. The mount near the cab uses the other holes above this one.
