    Semi spur of the moment... Chestnut Mountain Road run tomorrow. I'll be there about 9-ish, maybe 10 if my boys have to make bathroom stops.

    We didn't make it all the way to the border. It was pretty gross with the rain and the fog today. We went down to the river and poked around there a bit before heading back out.

    Today was the first time I've seen the entire camping area at the river empty. Even the big site was vacant. I snapped a couple of pics. This would be a great place for a small group of trucks to camp.

    Not positive, but I think Musterground Rd (Bad Creek, SC side) might be closed right now. It is a seasonal road. I almost stopped to check in there on the way out today, but it was getting late and we had a 2+ hour drive ahead of us to get home.

    Could be making a run here on Saturday 1/13 if anyone is interested. Looking like @Matic, @FletchLax, and myself currently.

    @Matic @BravesTaco95

    Take 130 into NC, go past Whitewater Falls for about 10 miles, then hang a right into Gorges State Park. Follow Grassy Ridge around to the parking lot for the hiking trail and take the gravel road. That is the beginning of Chestnut Mountain Rd. When it comes to a downhill that leads to an open area with two gated roads, hang a sharp right. That will take you all the way to the Horse Pasture River where the killer camping is. Cross the river and you will come to another gate at the NC/SC border. On the other side is Musterground Rd.

    Between your 4x4 and @Matic's winch we might can make it a longer run across the river

    I'd love to get back up there if someone can convince my wife to do all the packing Saturday. :anonymous:

    We've been doing some everyday, but Sat and Sun are the big days before we close next week.
