    whatever...

some places think we are insane eating cows. and french folks dine on horses.

i've traveled alot. i enjoy some meals that feel more like FEAR FACTOR food..ok, enjoyed is an exaggeration. but i have eaten some crazy shit. mostly bugs. i searched out a rice paddy rat dish in vietnam, but they were not in season. season?

i wont eat dog, altho i was offered a plate in cambodia. no thanks. but i dont knock them for doing it. they eat for protein.

i have pansy friends that get sick when i shoot raw oysters.

In those countries often the water poses a greater threat than the exotic deep-frying street vendors. It is pretty tough to pass any extended period of time in a place like India without picked up some sort of intestinal bacteria.

there are a couple asian grocery stores outside of baltimore... one is much more hardcore and the seafood/meat section is awful. bins piled with live frogs/turtles/eels... way too many fish cramed in tanks. dead mixed with live... not really sure how these places haven't been shut down.

there is another place called "H Mart" that is bigger and has the biggest and widest selection of fruits and vegetables that i've ever seen. so many things i've never even heard of and the prices are usually half of what you would find in a regular grocery store.

definitely a cool place to go for certain things... though I end up spending an extra hour or two there because i have to read so many labels to find out what i'm actually looking at.
