    looking for extra keys to be made and don't want to spend and arm for the key and a leg for the stealership to program them. can anyone help me out?

    IIRC they have to be made at the dealer. I could be wrong because i dont have a chip key.

    the problem i have with ebay is they offer "G" and "dot" keys. as luck would have it mine has an "L" clearly engraved on the blade of the key and all the goggling i've done has produced squat.

    You may be screwed man. I bought my truck used with one key and had to get a spare made at the dealer - was like $150
