Ok, so Im looking to get all the nasty chrome off of my truck. Is there a GOOD way to paint over the chrome with black? I have seen others use spray on bedliner, but Im wanting to do something without having to buy a new bumper. Im not opposed to the bedliner idea, but just dont know. Thoughts?

    BUILT, not bought...
I've never painted chrome, but I imagine; you'd want to really sand on it, then apply an adhesion promoter/primer, then paint it black.

So would that bedliner be the kind that comes in a spray can? Im not really into paying the money for line-x.

Those all look good. Bedliner vs. duplicolor? Im on the fence now. Biggest thing, I just dont want to do this, and then it look like shit in 3 months.

while we are on the topic, i bought my taco w/a painted skid plate, the black paint is starting to chip, so i bought duplicolor bed liner, and i was going to spray that on, should stick & hold a whole lot better, anyone have any thoughts??

    thanks

I would use what you got and if it scratches up all you have to do is paint that spot since its a skid plate i wouldnt worry to much about it. but thats just me
