I disagree, at least in my area. Black wheels are considered major league ricer territory, on any vehicle. I guess it depends on region. When I travel to LA they seem to be everywhere. To each their own. I just dislike them. They are totally played out to the max and they all look the same.

XD Wheels with 4.5 BS, Best Top Soft Top, Undercover winch mount with Warn 8k winch (with synthetic line), Pioneer touchscreen double din head unit. 4X innovations welded sliders. roof mounted DVD system.ATO dual battery tray with dual yellow tops. Rugged ridge isolator kit.
All depends on the wheel and the size. Example I like black unless it is a 20" wheel. Then it just says "h ave bought a 2wd non per runner or car

First to EasyEatAtlanta, I like the photo of your truck with the porta pottys in the back ground, Everyone here has all kinda backgrounds with mountains and oceans (me included) but yours is the first with a row of shitters, good on ya!!!

As far as Chrome vs Black, I've decided to go with the Mickey Thompson Classic Locks with the bead lock ring being opposite color. The problem to me with all black is that they blend in with the tire and you can't appreciate the wheel, it 's just all black, especially on the Super White Taco's which I have. So I am going to go with either chrome inside with Black Bead lock ring or vice versa, possible using white too.

a lot of people are indecisive and always ask the forums what to put either chrome or black....its simple just put both, chrome in the front and black in the back, or......you can put chrome on the left and black on he right because i mean no one can see both sides of your truck at the same time, they either see chrome or black. problemo solved.

I have SR5 with chrome trim on grill, chrome 6 spoke oem rims, one SR5 badge on tailgate & chrome rr bumper. front bumper and flares are white. Door handles, headlights, taillights, side mirrors & tint are black. Everything I have added has been black inside and out. I am not murdering this one out and since I has mix of chrome/black on outside, I will be getting black rims with polished lip of some sort or some mix of polished/black rims if I decide to change from oem. I did not vote as there is no option for both or mixed or combo. My truck is dd prerunner and not off in mud very often. 4WD would be more of black option IMO. Depends on the overall scheme going on too. I am not fond of very much chrome tho, it can be too much real fast. I do want to change the chrome oems on mine, just taking time to seek out right ones.

i think the black/chrome combo on rims are done way too much so personally i would never rock the two tone ones (i dont like looking like everyone else)

but it doesnt matter what i think. its your truck!:p

So based upon a little chrome and some black on my white truck and the fact that it will never become all chrome and most likely not all black, you don't see this........

    as an improvement over this?

I do but if someone else doesn't then, well, that's OK. If it was a different truck then I might do something different too depending on it's intended use and scheme going on.

It don't get any better than a polished lip. Best look out there IMO. Look at Outkast. You can always paint the inside white.

Buy cheap wheels if you're gonna be off the pavement. I was always pissed about my chrome wheels gettin dirty when I was at camp or out ridin around. My new wheels were $112 each and I had em rock rashed within 2 weeks. And I don't feel bad about it

I'm buying cheap(ish) wheels either way. This won't ever be any kind of show truck or baja race thing so no sense trying to get truck stolen over some set of high dollar bullshit worth more than the vehicle is.

I'm no pro but I would have to agree. Black trim, Black rims, Chrome grille Chrome rims etc.

White truck would be hot with gold rims and grill though.

I'm a big fan of the Gunmetal color wheels on my white Taco. Everybody has black wheels these days and I can't hardly differentiate one white taco from another anymore.
