Just noticed that I have a few spots on my chrome peeling off. I eventually want to black it all out. What is the best option for blacking that part out? Plati-dip, paint, etc? Thanks!

peel the rest of the chrome off.. a pressure washer can help in this process.

    then sand, prime, paint. done

Didnt really think about long term or not. I suppose long term. No set budget. Just want it to look good. I have a pyrite mica, DCSB. Eventually putting black wheels on. Would like a new rear bumper as well in black. But the small Chrome on the front grill is not of my liking. I'm also going to black out the badges.

why don't you just get one of those ghetto grey plastic grille's and go from there. save yourself the effort of sanding all that chrome off.

Should be covered under warrenty. See if dealer will order a new grill. Maybe color matched if real lucky.

No of course not, neither would i. But if you wanted it painted, I was saying buy a ghetto (OEM) black grille and paint it. Rather than sand all the chrome off and prep that.

    sorry for confusion.

if its under warranty then id do that!

Haha, I see! Thanks! I'm taking it to the stealership in the morning. A color matched grill would be sweet! I'll let yall know what they say.
