I agree, its a nice clean build that's attainable by most. My truck is heavily influenced by this build, keep up the good work.

I might take you up on that. By the way, how's that PrInSu rack working for you? I went with the topper rack in Zachs Group Buy but didn't pull the tripper on the cab rac.

    Thanx :D

The Rack is great! Very versatile you can do so much with it and so low pro its was exactly what I was looking for. The use for me was to have my accessories live up there, never planning on taking things on and off.. I thought about a cap rack but it wouldnt work out for my needs. I need cross bars to carry surfboards, SUPs, kayaks, etc. I plan on making a safari basket and using the front and rear top rails of the basket as cross bars similar to this
    [IMG]

Ive decided to pre fab and cut the entire rack basket and bring it to a local Tig welder, this will cut my cost and give me exactly what I want.

That's a sharp looking basket on that FJC.

I've kinda got the same thing going with my rack too so I'll have to rig up some way of carrying my yak's when it shows up. I've got some ideas in mind and some scrap around the shop so we'll see.

It wont be to hard. Personally I would do something similar to the crossbars I already have. Did you get the HD bars? If so I would make flange plates so you can get 4 bolts in each flange, a small rise up right, and a cross bar of you size liking over to the other flange with up right. A set of two and your golden. might even be easy that way to remove easily in the off season.

Worked out a few things on the truck today

Started this morning with a functional cheap mod I recently came across. So obvious you would never think of it  Wish I could find the link again to give OP credit. When I found this thread it was an alternative to a jerry can mount. But I saw more uses for it, like a secure spot to strap down a milk crate with propane tank or stretch the net you stole from your girlfriends Kia Soul :anonymous: across cubby to cubby to keep the groceries from sliding around. This was the end result the thread suggested

I picked two sets of these up from the hardware store

Drilled out the hole for the stock bolt and test fitted

Cut off the excess, rounded off the cuts, and painted them black

Great little mod with lots of potential.

Next up was TPMS indicator light delete mod. This thing has beenuseless for over a year..

Then I wanted to address the never ending battle against rust when your a Beach Buggy

While I had the dash torn apart I figured on having a paint party :D

Also ran into the USB/AUX harness that I deleted and stuffed away. I had an Idea of getting a mini jump pack kit from All 4 Off-Road and keeping it in the glove box always plugged in so its always good to go if needed. So I plugged the switch back into the harness ran a power cord to the glove box and restuffed it all back behind the dash.

Lastly, While everything was torn apart I ran the power and ground to all the switches next to the center cup holder. Soon to be wired in will be the A-tac system and OBA. Still two open switches available.

Well not sure what I was thinking.. My glove box power is a bust. I thought I've see it charge a phone threw the AUX :notsure: Oh well, still want a power cord to the glove box for the jump kit. Will have to go another route, doesn't seem hard to do tho.
