    In 1980, a group of us got a Louisville Courier Journal reporter to go on a night-time trail ride. Plan was to take about 15 trucks. Word got out somehow. As we were leaving town for the ride, at last count we were over 120. The trail was less than 3 miles long. We literally had trucks out the other end on pavement before a large part of them ever saw dirt. It ended up the biggest fiasco you could imagine. Instead of the GOOD image we hoped to project, it ended up looking like the ugly side of Woodstock by the time the newspaper writer got done explaining what we were doing.

    2 months later, our favorite trail in this area was closed mostly because of the bad press we got.

    I just imagine 299 trucks in a line stuck behind the first person to hit an obstacle for hours and hours. Basically the inefficiency of the airline boarding process, but with vehicles.
