Thanks. They did the installation on my YJ many moons ago and are in fact the folks I bought my radio and antenna from originally.

Actually, I was talking about mounting the radio itself. The antenna will be a piece of cake in comparison. As for mounting it anywhere but the roof, I'd have to get a longer antenna. Mine's only 2' so it'd barely stick up above the roof of the truck mounted on the tool box or bed rail.

I guess I could mount the radio above the rear view. It'd fit there. The problem is, there's no structure to mount it to. I'd have to put a big piece of aluminum plate above the headliner, screw the bracket to that, and hope the plate distributes the load enough for it not to pull the headliner down.

Cool man my son is 10 and I think Jason's son is around 6 so should be good times for da kids too. Oh yeah I'm 41 but have a 10 y.o. mentality so good times

Does anyone airdown out there? Im debating on getting a compressor before I go out if a lot of people air down

 

I never have at Citrus, but if anyone does I have Viair kit in my runner.

 

How do you like it? Ive been thinking of an oba setup but its a little expensive over just having a 12v compressor

 

I like mine a lot. I still might get a C02 setup for air tools.

you can bring a air compressor with you, they have electrical hookups

 

I airdown a little at citrus , just to smooth out the bumps
It's not necessary to increase traction ..nothing that serious/technical out there

 

Crap, I got a little to excited for all this and forgot what month it was, I was thinking this trip would be next weekend, but that's October not November.

But with the extra time maybe I'll pick up a cb setup before I head out.
