Yea no shit. A question was asked and I gave a suggestion.

Doesnt mean everyone should go with that setup. Doesnt matter at all to me what people do or what they think is overkill.

    Chill

Check Amazon for the female version of a pee bottle. You may wish you had one while in a one hour plus traffic jam at the George Washington Bridge after a three hour ride to get there. If you exit your vehicle anywhere around there you may not live to post about it the traffic is so dangerous.

Lol I thought the same thing. We’re in the city. I carry a cell phone and that’s gotten me out of 100% of situations.

Anybody questioning the need for city edc water and stuff ? Check out the Lincoln Tunnel ,NYC right now. Gigantic traffic jam due to a crane / building collapse on a holiday weekend no less.

I think NYC is a little different than Charlotte, NC

It was a garbage truck that fell off an overpass and onto the approach to the tunnel which is now closed to NJ. All other bridges and tunnels are now a disaster and everybody is stuck in traffic at 86 degrees or more now. This can happen anywhere ,at anytime and though the scale may be smaller the local impact can be just as severe. No harm in being prepared, I am. We won't even go into 9-11.

More cars go through that tunnel in a day than are registered in many states most likely.

This is basically my barebones long commute setup, but what it really drives home is comfort.

You're gonna want to get an RTT on your roof ASAP for extended gridlock scenarios. About a dozen Maxtrax mounted in various easy-to-access locations around the vehicle. Some kind of water source and spare fuel storage system. ARB fridge and a portable camp stove in case you need to whip up some burgers if the Mickey D's is more than two blocks from wherever you are stranded. CB radio for when all other comms collapse in the traffic apocalypse. Rush hour can be a scary and unpredictable environment, can't be too prepared.
