Something else to note: the truck runs about 4* hotter at highway speeds now due to the LED bar behind the grill and seems to not cool as easily on the trail. Nothing to worry about just an observation and something that I've wondered of others who have lights behind the grill.

and a winch in the front bumper will make it run even higher and cool down slower as well, may be just stating the obvious, but it is something i have noticed. i used to run a steady 185 on the highway, now as soon as i pull a hill im pushing 200 almost and it takes a bit of flat or decline to get it to drop back down.

Never noticed a change with the front bumper and winch. As far as on the highway in the hills it stays pretty darn steady at 190* now.

I have the bumper, winch, and LED bar in the grille and I run from 184*-188* at operating temperature.

 I wish my temps were staying there. just on the interstate cruising mine runs around 188 to about 196 or so if not going a hair over 200 on long hills. bad thing is it still isnt even summer yet and already getting that warm. has me somewhat concerned about when summer does get here... guess it will be good that I will be in VA by then, huh?

Summer gets just as hot here as the SE. Might be time for a coolant flush.

shouldnt be, just hit 25k miles on the truck.

how is the humidity and such during the summer out there? that is typically what drags me down so bad here. having a 95 degree day with 75-80% humidity does wonders for not being able to breathe! asthma FTW

Weird that yours is running so hot. I have an extra core in there as well...

About the same on some days. Others not so much. I rate it just the same as anywhere in the SE.

gonna try to do some maintenance on it this weekend (oil changes in difs and such) will prob take the airbox stuff apart and make sure its getting good airflow and then look around. you are running full skids too arent you? that was another thing i noticed didnt help with cooling.

I got ya, at least i know what to expect! and not gonna be doing manual labor anymore.

Yes full skids! I'm not worried about the water temp, and honestly wouldn't worry too much about yours. It's all still right in the middle of the range on the gauge.

yeah, i have only had it get in the red once, and that was a bad day! raining so hard it took about 15 seconds outside the truck to be soaked to your underrroos and at an offroad park that normally is a blast. it got to the red on the last section of the one and only hill climb we were able to do that day. then had to put it in 4lo just to go out the main road so we could get the hell out of there. still almost slid into a ditch on a couple downhill sections... muddy mess that was not much fun. but otherwise as long as it doesnt continue to climb after getting off the throttle for a hill im not too concerned, would be nice if it were cooler but i dont think it warrants a trip to the dealer or anything.
