My noise is back, has been for some time now. I think it's conning from the front shock mounts. My truck is an 05 so I just drive it. A new truck making the same sound would irritate me however.

100% positive the skid plates don't need tightening for some having this issue?

They were new and tight. I even removed both of them just to see. Same noise. I went as far as removing sway bar, that helped a bit, but noise was still there. Replaced rad support mounts with poly, that helped as well, but noise is still there. The only thing I haven't replaced is the coil over mounts

I just took my 2018 with only 2k miles on it to the dealer with the same creaking noise. I hadn't searched for it on here before bringing it in, but I thought I'd look after the fix. Mine started at about 200 miles. The bushings were jacked on mine as well. Replaced and now good to go. It's hard to believe that this is still a problem.

I'm lucky enough to have BOTH of these types of noises .

The "nut in the tin can" noise seems to happen more frequently when the A/C compressor kicks on and I'm at idle. The "clank, clank" seems to happen when turning and changing angles. I jacked my truck up yesterday and checked steering rack, suspension parts, and sway bar and nothing stood out, but it sounded like it made the same clank noises on it's way up on the jack (jacked left side up first), and I could get it to make similar noises with one person on each slider and rocking the truck back and forth.

I thought the clanking was possibly from the full set of skid plates giving the frame less "give", but now I want to check out these front radiator bushings/bolts. As for the "nut in the tin can" sound...That one is still a mystery.
