I just detailed my interior yesterday. The interior is now almost showroom condition. However...

A common problem I am finding is that my black WeatherTech floor mats still look dingy no matter how hard I scrub them. I usually use my car wash soap and water to clean and scrub them.

Any recommendations on how to get these looking like new again.

    Thanks!

I soak mine with the pre-rinse at the car wash and let them sit awhile, then pressure wash. They come out like new

Yep, follow up the all purpose cleaner scrub with a dressing of some kind. Aerospace 303 works well, as does Duragloss 253.

Weather tech also sells their own branded cleaner and dressing. Available on Autogeek.com. I've not used it but it's gotten awesome reviews. Makes the mats look like New (although I do too with a stiff bristled brush and 303 or 253). But the advantage of the weathertech branded products- they won't make the mats as slippery as regular dressings.

I took advantage of that sale too. Picked up the new McKee's Hi Def Paint Sealant and 360 all in one. Apparently they contain some of the protective components found in their SiO2 paint coatings.

I'd like to try the new McKee's Hi Def Paint Sealant but I purchased a bottle of Optimum Opti-Seal last year & haven't even used it yet, lol. I decided to take advantage of their 4 hour flash sale & combined it with the 20% off coupon to get a bottle of for $11.19 shipped. I've always been interested in the spray on hose off coatings. I'm going to use it as a refresher for the on my wheels. I'm thinking of trying it on the frame of my Tacoma too.

All depends upon what is tracked on the mats. Sometimes a regular washing won't remove. Especially if you pick up some sort of oil like I did this winter.

The first time I cleaned my Weathertchs I was worried they were going to stain easily because they developed white marks that werehard to get off. A couple of weekends ago I mixed up Simple Green and warm water 2:1 in a spray bottle and they cleaned up well. Much better than with just water.
