Anybody have a preference of which brand of clear bra to go with? The guy I'm planning to have install it on my truck says they have 3M, Xpel, Avery and DuraShield.

3m clear bra or Venture, stant locking gas cap, Shield, front windows tinted, weathertechs, ARE "Z" topper. Sockmonkey decal, Billy 5100's x 4 corners, Eibach coils, Toytec 1.5 AAL. Michelin 265/75/16 MS2's, Grillcraft MX series/TOYOTA badging. FJ/SE TRD Anthracite gray wheels. Katzkin leather/heated seats.
I had Ventureshield installed on three vehicles so far. No issues. The most important issue is have an excellent installer. I think 3m bought ventureshields name.

    Best of luck

As long as I can see through it, I don't care what brand she's wearing.

I've done some research and VentureShield is tops. They were direct competitors with 3M's Scotch Guard films. But the 3M's yellow over time.

Since 3M coudn't beat the British competition, they bought Venture Tape Inc.

No pun intended, but 3M's not clearly marketing the brands separately or differentiating among them as long as people are buying their stuff. Small companies that cut the films for resale or installation use their own brand name (ClearMask, InvisiMask, ClearDefender, NextLevelRide, etc) for the VentureShield, while the original 3M films stays Scotch Guard branded.

Be sure to check what you are getting to confirm it is VentureShield.

Ventureshield has a new name. I believe its Venturetape. This is what I had installed on my truck and have the venturetape warranty that goes with it. great stuff and it really works. The fourth vehicle I have had it applied to.

Nothing worse than paint chips, nicks, and dings on the front of a new vehicle. The paint now days is not that durable when it comes to roadrash.

Hey guys, I think that if you go to the 3M site, you will find that VentureShield is actually made by 3M. The 3M paint protection film (PPF) is 8MM thick, has a clear Coat like finish and is warranteed for seven years. I waxed the 3M PPF on my Miata (until I traded it for my Prerunner) and it never faded, yellowed or peeled. In fact, I got better than trade-in value for it although it was 4 years old because of its appearance. Can't beat PPF! And, if it yellows, 3M will replace it. Be sure to read the warranty closely on any product you decide to go with.
