i worry that the previous owner had clearcoated over my TRD stickers. First indicator is there's tiny blue specks of paint on my stickers, meaning they didn't remove them? Second indicator is it feels there's no "solid" edge on the side of sticker. I want to remove these. Is there a way to know if the stickers were clearcoated? If they were can I still remove them without damaging paint and surrounding clearcoat? Could you wax the two surfaces to match or at least soften the difference? Thanks for the input.

If they cleared over the stickers it isn't coming off without some damage.

Take it to a local body shop and ask them. Any decent painter will be able to tell the difference between clearcoat and sticker.

Yep the passengers side has clearcoat over it. The drivers side does not. I'm heading to a body shop sometime this week to get a quote on getting bedside recoated. Hell I might as well have them take the damn sticker off to while they're doing it. Anyone have an idea on what it would cost to reclearcoat the bedside?

I'm gonna guess, with removing the flare and reinstalling it, somewhere around $400- $700.
