check to see if they put the bushing on underneath the washer and nut on the top of the strut assembly. the shop forgot to put one of these on when they installed mine, and thank god i caught it before it caused any damage.

dont have a answer for ya, but I know that I have a similar clunk, clank sound when going over bumps in the road at about 15-30mph.
2 shops have checked it out and everything seemed fine and tight. So now I just ignore it. Oh and it started after installing my 3" lift.

It's only over a bump and only while turnong, I removed the boot on the steering rack, and there is a ball joint in there correct? it has play, I can see it and it's making an airy sort of noise, hard to explain that one, I'll get a pic... 1 sec

well.......while its only while turning, and going over a bump.....im gonna say you are good to go. mine does the same thing....and its the "steering stop".......close to the bottom inside near the rotor.......mine does it on the driver side. pretty normal the older the truck gets.

I have similar noise when going over bumps, when slowly moving and when jacking it. I notice it in the driver side only. I once cured it by spraying grease over the shocks, UCA , sway bay bushings. Now, it came back but won't disappear with re-spraying.

Please update us of the findings.

well, findings, seems to be both balljoints on the end of the steering rack, you can pull the rack boot off and see/feel the baljoint. check it out

I just had same snap/pop when beginning to drive from braking or going in reverse from stop. The long ass bolt going through the uca was loose and it was sliding back and forth as i accelerated or went in reverse, check that out it was my problem.
