    Hi everyone,

I have an 09 double cab short bed, and have a very odd noise coming from behind or below (hard to tell) the drivers side back seat.

Just before I come to a stop, and just after I start accelerating, it makes one loud "click". It does not make this noise going over speed bumps or any other time.

I took out the storage bins behind the seats and the clicking still occurs. In fact it is louder without the bins. Took a look on the underside of the truck and everything looks sound (stock suspension). I have been unable to recreate the noise by jumping around in the bed or by moving the truck side to side while parked.

Anyone experience a similar problem or have any ideas on how to cure this? It's driving me crazy. Hate to take it to the dealer for this. They will probably just say "it's normal".

Thank you for the suggestion but it's not that either. It occurs even when people are sitting in the back buckled in.

Never had this before, but on my 10 SR5, I get break grab and release noise when I am travelling very slow....as in parking or coming out of a parking space.

    ABS????

    What tranny do you have?

is it the jack? is there anything sitting between the cab and the box? could it be an axle wrap problem? lift spacers sometime cause somthing similar to this.

Took it into the dealer today. A small piece of sheet metal near a pinch weld under the seat was slightly bent. What it basically did was make that piece of metal act like the pop-top on a glass bottle. every time the body flexed slightly....POP!

They bent the piece back straight...no issues now. Very impressed with the service dept.

But something you had in the jack compartment. You'll see the open hole in the plastic near the jack. I had a socket get loose between the plastic housing and the actual metal floor. Drove me nuts!!!! It would shift every time I accelerated or slowed/stopped.
Remove the plastic housing and you'll find the culprit.

FAWK That is awesome!!! I Have a creaking noise that I have had in the drivers side door hinge floorboard area since day one. I know it's sheet metal body flex too. I just have to have the willpower to bring it back to the dealer for a second inspection.
