Truck occasionally starts making a clicking noise whenever it fails to get over a speedbump/curb. When coming up on a crest without enough acceleration the vehicle gets to the top of the curb and then rolls back to the bottom of the curb, after this there is a clicking noise that comes from the shifter area until I add a bit of acceleration to overcome the obstacle.

    Is this normal?

it is your forward shifter pawls, being pushed in the direction they are not supposed to be pushed. similar to you putting it into park, when still moving... click click click click.... STOP DOING THAT, for the life of your transmission. get over the obstacle. Ski

Yeah I second this. Stop failing to get over the speedbump. Gas it.

This is what I fear. I'm obviously not doing it on purpose.

SOLVED: The noise was coming from the ABS system and seems to be normal although it no longer occurs

Haha sorry you received absolutely terrible, 100% incorrect information, earlier in this thread.

This behavior is entirely normal. It is your VSC system keeping your truck from going backwards when it is in the 'go forward' shifter position.
