Clicking sound after safety recall.

2016 Tacoma makes a clicking sound after satey recall. Sounds like a U-joint.

Sounds like rock stuck in tread, but IDK.

 

Recalls were, differential leak, and timing sensor bolt. Clicks too fast to be a rock in tread, but can't hear it if truck is not moving.

Can you hear it at all speeds? Does anything seem to provoke it or quiet it down? Does the click go away when going around a right hand turning circle? Left hend circle? If you can hear it in the cab, can you record the sound?

Record the sound and post it up. Too difficult to judge without hearing it. Is it loud or muted sound? Does it seem to be coming from a certain spot?

 

Where is the 2016 Tacoma v6 2016 crankshaft position sensor located.

 

The crank position sensor is on the front of the engine. It reads crank position for the computer. There is nothing that would click on it- non interference type of sensor. The rear diff is another story. Depends what they did, but more logical you may have an issue on that. Did they replace the gasket? Rear end? Nothing?

Also - does the clicking occur faster as you drive faster?

You need to be a lot more specific. All speeds? Low speed? Does the frequency of the clicking change as you slow down? Does it happen while you turn, go straight, etc? About every piece on the truck can make some sort of clicking noise.
