Great build! I haven't even got mine home yet, already on here getting ideas of what to do....

The intake you went with seems like the best way to go IMO. How you liking it after a few more weeks (combined with the S/C)?

Thank you. I'm still liking the intake, but probably the S/C more....those two plus the exhaust make it a pleasure to drive.

Welcome to TW and goodbye to your cash!

Thanks! It would look great in your truck....blend right in from the outside with your black paint since the tint on it is so dark.

I can use all the light as possible coming into my truck with this Ohio weather...good thing spring is around the corner.

If you dont mind me asking, what was the total actual cost for getting the sunroof done?

Total cost for roof was about $1,300. I had the leather done at the same time so the cost might be a little off compared to others. Also, I paid extra to move the switch down on the dash.

    Hello fafafahey,

Congratulations on your beautiful, & very unique truck! Enjoy it in good health!

I have a question regarding your tires. I have an '08 DCSB 4.0 PreRunner:

As you can see I have the 16x7, 5.5 backspace, 30mm offset, OEM steelies with chrome wheel skins with LT265/75r16's.

I am looking for a set of wheels just like yours but I don't know the specs on them. Do you have that info? Also, why 265 instead of 275? There seems to be more choices in 275's though I plan on going with the same BFG's. I love these tires!

Do you happen to have, or can you take some pics of how the wheels sit in the fender space? In other words, how far do they stick out or do they sit flush with the fender. Are they close to rubbing the UCA's? I have looked at these wheels online before but I saw a Tacoma near my job this morning with those wheels near my job & now I KNOW that I want them. They look even better in person. He was driving away so I couldn't see them too well.

I appreciate any info/pics that you could give me.

    Thanks
    :D

PS, fafafahey? Did the song "Psycho Killer" from the group Talking Heads inspire that name?

    Thank you!
I don't know the specs on the wheels, but I'm sure someone on TW does. I tried 275's on my '06 and they rubbed. That was WAY before I got addicted to TW and now after research, they could have fit with a little trimming. Even with that, I got the 265's for now because I'll be going to Icon Stage 4 lift and will be getting Mud Terrain's and new rims....those will be 275's or maybe 285's.

I've attached a few pics below. They don't stick out at all. There is no rubbing either. With the Stage 4 lift, I'm planning on 1.25" Spidertrax all around.

Lastly, since these wheels have chrome caps, I have to say that they have help up perfectly for two nasty Ohio winters so far!

Regarding the Talking Heads song, I had to look up the lyrics and see what you meant.....now I see the fa fa fa fa fa....however, nothing to do with how I got my username. It is a play on my last name.

Hey Jim. I really like your truck! I'm interested in doing a sunroof just like to one you have, would you be willing to take a couple pictures of the headliner around the sunroof? I'm really curious about the total look of the liner with the sunroof open and closed. How does the switch look installed?

    Thanks, and nice truck again!

EDIT: Sorry Jim, I just went through your other picture uploads and found what I was looking for. Thanks! Sunroof looks amazing!

Nice build, love the sun roof. You got any image of the sunroof from the inside? Like to see how you have it setup.

Combo of city and highway driving, I'm averaging right at 18 mpg. I had an '06, same truck but normally aspirated....I was getting 20.5 mpg on that.

Upgraded to a Fab Four steel with black powder coat rear bumper. Will get some pics after I wash some road salt off of it. I considered getting it white powder coated, but for now will leave it black. Maybe I'll powder coat the two shackles white for some contrast.

No lift yet...my logical side is taking over - since I don't wheel it would be purely for aesthetics. I'm actually looking at taking that chunk of change and buying a first gen for playing in the dirt.
