That was the only option for me. I know there're variations in the crossmembers depending on your trucks configuration.

That said, I've since switched to a one once driveshaft. My vibes were worse with the Ford bearing. I was tired of cooking with it and worrying about angles and such.

It's better. No vibes until 75-85. They warned me that this might happen with it being so long and heavy. I don't need to go that fast anyway... The 35's seem to have pushed the vibes up a couple miles an hour though. Let's call it 77-87 now :D

Before I have vibes all the time and bad at take off.

A lighter, aluminum, driveshaft would cure the vibes completely I'm sure.

BUT, I'm putting a twin stick FJ case in my truck. Eventually, a crawl box as well.

When I do the crawl box, I'll need custom front and rear shafts.

I was thinking of running an aluminum shaft day to day, and throwing the steel one in for off road. But, that's another $700 down the drain only to be tossed aside when I do the crawl box.

    CB came in!

Anybody know the specs for the top plate that needs to be made off the top their head?

Thickness, length, and width. Gonna try to knock it out at work real quick.

    I used 1 1/2" x 1/8" flat bar steel, ~7" long.
The 2 holes on the CB bracket are 9/16" (kinda oval), but I went smaller. Enough to allow for the OME CB drop bolts.

Let me say that I do not have this installed yet. It's on the to do list. I made the top bracket to be ready for the install.

Cool thanks. Realized after posting all I need is the same footprint as the CB

Will I need longer bolts or will the factory ones be long enough. Im assuming they will be fine. The install is another story. Not sure when ill get to it, or what all it entails to be honest. Lol

If it is just the top plate and CB bracket, the factory bolts will be fine. That said, I have seen some pretty intricate fabrications in this thread to mount this CB up. :D

Yep. Just the top plate and factory bolts. Nothing fancy, just replacing my worn out CB.

Cut and cleaned up some stock..

Is this still open? I tried to find the part number on the website but it wasn't coming up.

Any chance EIDLS could make bearing assembly specifically for our trucks? Seems to be a demand for it.

I would think so. Adapting the ford one is kind of a pain.

If you want, call them. Jeff is a good person to talk to.
