It looks like it requires the use of a grease cap. It was cheap enough my buddy bought it to see if it works since his truck is having center bearing issues and isn't his DD.

I figured as much. Then you'd have to play around with spacers till you get the correct driveline angles. Shieeeet. I'd rather do that myself then have them playing around with it.

Exactly. Just saw a different Ford one that might work. You also have part number 211872-1X. Maybe I'll start a new thread on this even though this one is a closed group buy.

Would be cool to go the Ford style but I doubt the DS shop is willing to muck around with custom stuff. Well... not without more mulla first, that is. :p

From what I have heard it does not. You will need to check out information about the 3rd gens carrier bearing and check out overall ID of it and all that good stuff. Than I could find something that would work for you guys.

I just checked my carrier bearing and there is probably 1/4" of play... no vibes though... Not sure if I want to risk doing this mod. :)

I tried out the IEDLS bearing. It's better, but I think I'm going to go one piece driveshaft as I'm getter a bigger travel trailer. I'm offering my centre bearing for sale, with about 1000 miles on it. Offers?

1/4 play is how it starts. Give it maybe 10,000 more miles. You will find out how junk the OE ones are.

No such Spicer support bearing existed for the Tacoma so the shop used an OEM Toyota one. Paid markup out the nose for it... bleh. Definitely wish I made time to do the Poly one myself. I'm sure I'll have to redo it soon anyways.

So my buddy tried out the Spicer one. The rubber is slightly softer than the inland empire one. The bearing looks sealed on both sides. He chose to run the dust shield. Dust shield facing towards rear axle. We'll see how it does over time. Fixed his driveline issue. For $30 he liked it.
