Used to love 4xing when i was living up north. My trail grapplers went anywere, hard on the clutch though. Im on clutch 3. Factory and on 2nd 3+ and only got 60000km factory whent put at about 4500km. They wouldnt cover it. Ive been driving manual for 28 years.

My bum knee and Seattle traffic say auto for me. I do like manuals. But the auto in these 2nd gen tacos are pretty primo. Just did a racket gear around the block. Oh yeah. The bobbies are sniffing.

There are guys that have bigger builds than mine no doubt. Mine does get down an funky but the man is hard to avoid when I'm not on a closed course. Limited to freeway onramp for legit tests.

But being at a cooler climate I want to see where I stand. This truck is already super awesome for my tastes. I love making import sports cars feel threatened enough to go hard.

The feeling knowing I have e rated tires in a lifted work truck yet import sports cars feel compromised......yes, thathat doesnt make my day difficult.

My truck loves winter here but... ice and elevation suck the fun out of it unless your packing winter weight, winter tires and find some dork in a new chevy that thinks his truck is fast. Lol

Chevs are cozy. Sound like they balls but thats about it. Dont get me started on dodges and the people that drive them. Lol

A ford will still get you home if its crippled. But yotas are a different breed all together. My first vehicle was an 85 sr5 single cab 5 spd armstrong steering. I beat the shit out of that truck. Lmao

Well lots happened on this thread since I was last here.
Beaumont ain't far. Defs could meet and see what's up!
Lots of boost but not a whole lot of extra power because of it. Current theory is the parasitic load to make that boost overtakes whatever extra power it makes.
Ya. No one around really notices Tacomas unless they're also someone who modifies Tacomas and understands the subtle upgrades we have.
Well the one I have now has lasted at least 1200km! Not bad if I do say so.
    Lol
Always good to know someone who will push me to be better.
Ya. Busy weekend I guess. Took my truck to the Sylvan car show, put my dyno chart and mods list on the window. Got a few people pretty interested so my ego felt sufficiently stroked.
I have to start practicing starting in 2nd... of course a re-gear would be even more ideal...
    It was quite the flurry.

Well I'm not paid yet but Kiel is going to take my payment on the 29th. Sold a bunch of music gear in an attempt to afford it and it looks like I'll be able to, even if it means I won't eat much for a while. I want to lose weight anyways.

Thinking of finishing porting the lower intake to go in at the same time. Reduced boost equals reduced torque to spin the blower, which means less parasitic load, which I'm pretty sure is a lot of my glass ceiling at the moment.
