Hello, looks like a great site you folks have here!

I am a motorcycle enthusiast and understand my old carbureted bikes pretty well, but I'm having trouble with the age-related issues of the Tacoma that hubby drives to work. (Maintaining the truck and bikes is my job since he works full-time.)

My first truck was a '78 Toyota with the 20R engine and it was much loved. I also drove a '88 Camry for 16 years without issue. So it made perfect sense when, after we married as young service members ten years ago, that my new husband chose a '98 Tocoma when we got to our first duty station. We still have it as our only four-wheeled vehicle, and with 175k miles, it's beginning to need work. That's OK though, we like the truck and plan to keep it another 100k miles or more.

I'll post up about these issues where they belong, but I've already learned a lot just reading and searching around here.

    Thanks for having me!
