Clunk sound

Pics where you tightened the bolts for Noobs?

 

I had the same issue last week. This fixed it.

I wish I had pictures, but I had the dealership troubleshoot and perform the work since it’s still under the CPO 12 month bumper-to-bumper warranty.

 

Take a look at your lower control arms where they attach to the frame. Those are your alignment cams. The front alignment cams, you tighten in the front. The rear alignment cams, you tiggten in the rear.

 

If you search for "tacoma lca torque" you'll find a nice diagram.

 

I have been watching this thread because I have the mysterious clunk oftentimes when putting the truck in reverse to back out of the driveway. I couldn't find anything wrong with the suspension or determine the source of the clunk. Imma have ta try dis

Soon after I joined this forum, I come in on a thread bashing Ford's. That's all I've ever driven up until this truck. Another member gave me the av telling me I should go back.

Looks like im in the club. Slight noise when i go over bumps & @ stops signs. Just installed my new toytec lift with new oem LCAs. Did use SPC UCAs but pretty sure this is it. Gonna be doing this soon. Figured I'd link these threads
