New to group buys. Can someone break it down for me. I’m in need of this part for sure but I’m nervous about putting money out there and never getting my part. TIA

You’re still buying from the manufacturer. Group buys are for gathering enough members to get a discount. Once enough members commit to buy an item, the discount occurs. Depending on the method, when you order the part you either mention that you are Tacomaworld member “name,” or a discount code is sent out by PM

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates on my end, after the second group buy I thought we had slightly ran out of steam (although the group buy did great again) and for some reason TacomaWorld wasn't sending any email updates to me that people were still posting on this thread and I just spaced checking in on it, that's my bad!!! Little did I know there was still a lot of interested any people still interested in another group buy. Ha sounds like quite a few of you called Clutch Masters asking about another group buy.

Sooo Clutch Masters reached out to me and asked if I wanted to organize another group buy. With things the way they are right now and work for me being super busy I suggested to CM that why don't we just give the guys on TacomaWorld a permanent coupon code they can use for a percentage off their hydraulic slave cylinder kit. They seemed totally cool with this idea since the response has been so overwhelmingly positive with this forum and the previous group buys. If we did another group buy that would have been 3 within the past 8 months or so!

Here is what we came up with. For the next couple weeks, until May 8th, anyone who wants to purchase a hydraulic slave cylinder kit (and optionally a clutch and or oil cap) you will use the code- TcmaWrld - This will get you $75 off the hydraulic kit as well as $75 off a clutch kit if you so chose to add one. Also if you would like you can add a Toyota oil cap and it will automatically reduce the price of the oil cap to $20 when you have the hydraulic kit in your cart at checkout.

After May 8th, the discount code will still be good to go, but discount will be reduced to $50 off a hydraulic kit as well as $50 off a clutch kit if you choose one. The oil cap deal will still remain as well.

I think this will makes things easier for everyone (not going to lie, group buys are kind of a lot of work!!) and allow people to still get a deal on the kit if they come across this forum thread in the future.

Here's the link to the Tacoma product listings for everything to help get people started in the right direction!

    http://www.clutchmasters.com/2005-2015-4-0l-2wd-4wd/

FYI for those curious, I've got about 7000 miles on my setup now and everything is still working flawlessly!

    Thanks everybody!

Ordered mine a couple hours ago, big thanks to everyone for making this possible! Best to all. Someone should definetly add this coupon code with the rest of coupon codes for Tacoma World, so more folks will see and know about it. Instead of having to stumble across it by accident.

Would you recommend putting this in ASAP or can I wait until the clutch starts going? If I open it up I’m going to do a new clutch obviously so would rather kill two birds with one stone if possible since my current clutch is still doing very well.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
Just my opinion but I would say if you a decent amount of miles which I would assume you do if you are a 2011 then doing this and replacing the clutch are just a maintenance item that should probably be done sooner rather than later. I have a 2013 at 78k miles and my clutch feels fine other than the chirps from the TOB but if I'm going to tear it all apart now I might as well replace the clutch and be good for another 75-100k.

Just did the clutch masters TB with a new Toyota clutch and PP and had Trd ss shifter installed at same time. I’ve only had it in since Wednesday with about 400 miles on it. Personally I couldn’t be happier. I feel like this is how the truck should have felt originally. Pedal is super smooth, and light. With accumulator valve it would sometimes have erratic engagement, which is completely gone. And it’s of course QUIET now. The jury is still out I suppose on longevity although it is a very nicely made unit and I’m confident it’s built to last. Truck is a joy to drive again.

I don't drive my rig all the time since I have other cars I also drive, but I've got about 8000 miles on the whole setup and zero issues. At around 6500 miles I popped the inspection plate off just to see how things were looking and it all still looks the same as the day it was put it in there basically. No seriously noticeable wear marks anywhere minus where the TOB contacts the diaphragm but that wasn't really wear just wear you could see the TOB makes contact with the diaphragm but that's 100% to be expected.

Got mine in yesterday. this may be a stupid question but since I just replaced my clutch 2 years ago, do I need to change the pressure plate or anything else while I'm in there?

Personally, I would leave it alone if it’s that new.
